Kim Kardashian Clan Accused of Charging $120K on Brandy's Mom's Credit Card

Reality TV/celebrity sex tape star Kim Kardashian and her siblings have been sued for racking up more than $120,000 in unauthorized charges on the credit card of R&B singer Brandy's mother. "Defendants actually had the temerity to use Plaintiff's credit card to charge thousands of dollars of purchase in their own stores," Sonja Norwood alleges in a suit filed this week in Los Angeles Superior Court, referring to the Dash and Smooch boutiques.

All the Kardashian kids are currently featured on E! network's "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." According to this complaint, Kim was authorized to make "one (and only one)" purchase on Norwood's American Express card when she was working as a stylist for Brandy in 2004. But she then allegedly proceeded to share the card number with siblings Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Jr., and "each of them ... made charges to Plaintiff's credit card, claiming to be employed by Brandy or Plaintiff in one capacity or another." The unauthorized charges include at least $62,793 in 2006 and another $57,841 in 2007.

The Kardashians' publicist said in a statement that "The charges against the Kardashians are meritless.  Both Kim and Khloe were employed by the Norwoods and never used their credit cards without their express authorization."

The complaint does not mention how or when Norwood discovered the alleged theft -- which makes you wonder if she was keeping up with her credit card bills. Edwin McPherson of McPherson & Associates in Century City is representing Norwood.
