Anorexic Claims Rachel Ray's Producer Discriminates Against the Skinny

Posted by Eriq Gardner

Rayrachel_2 Rachel Ray made her name cooking tasty meals on a budget. Does that mean a producer of her show discriminates against anorexic people? A new lawsuit filed in New York Supreme Court says so.

This complaint was filed by Aaron Ferguson, a payroll accountant on "The Rachel Ray Show" who is an admitted anorexic for the past six years. Ferguson objected to comments made by his boss, Mary Kelly, about the show’s skinny executive-in-charge, Priscilla Taussig. Among other comments, Kelly allegedly said that Taussig was "too skinny to do her job," "Anorexics are sick in the head," and "Oh, did you see Priscilla today? She has her back out, and all you see are her sickly bones."

Ferguson says he went to human resources, who gave him this comment: "TV is TV" and "That is how television works."

He says he was offered $4000 to go away. Instead he's suing CBS Corp, producer of "The Rachel Ray Show, for $1.5 million for disability discrimination.

Very nice. I am very happy to post my comment in this blog. I gathered lot of information in this site.
