Patents, Like Everything Else, Look Better On A Flat-Screen TV

Patent trolls aren't a particularly popular breed in business, but with the state of the American economy in flux, it wouldn't hurt to reclaim the flat-screen TV as an American invention.

Dr. Kanti Jain, an award-winning engineering professor a the University of Illinois, is now suing various Asian manufacturers including Nikon, Samsung and Panasonic, claiming that he designed the key technology behind flat screens, and that in 1990, he shared his patented technique with Nikon.
