Odd rights dispute ensarls Brad Pitt movie

This is one of the stranger rights disputes we've come across.

Edor Financial Group Inc. is suing its own vice president, Donald Beck, accusing the executive of forming a dummy corporation with a similar name in order to sell rights to the 1988 Brad Pitt film "Cutting Class."

Here's the complaint, filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court. The plaintiff accuses Beck of forming Edor Films to look like the legitimate rights holder, and that Lionsgate refused to negotiate with the plaintiff when he told it about the dispute.
