Lawyer earns fan club for exposing Glenn Beck as 'the idiot he is'

By Eriq Gardner

Media lawyers don't generally have groupies, but then again, most don't have the opportunity to teach Fox's Glenn Beck a lesson in the First Amendment.

Marc Randazza is the attorney who represented Isaac Eiland-Hall in an attack by Beck over a satirical website called glennbeckrapedandmurderedayounggirlin1990.com. In September, Randazza filed a remarkable response in a WIPO administrative action defending Eiland-Hall against claims the website was registered in bad faith. Randazza won.

His efforts were noticed by Christopher Jorgensen, who runs a website that trades in a different form of satire. Jorgensen writes over-the-top letters to celebrities and brands, pretending to be a huge fan and requesting autographed pictures.

"I loved how you took Glenn Beck to task and exposed him for the idiot he is," wrote Jorgensen. "You must send me an autographed photo for my shrine. I know this must be a common request for most lawyers, what with their adoring legions of fans and all, but for you it is a requirement."

Randazza wrote back, starting his letter this way: "Thank you for recognizing my awesomeness."

The lawyer promised not to disappoint the founding member of the "Randazza Society." And told his fan not to worry about being sued by Glenn Beck. "He is an asshat, and by the time you get this letter, he will probably have already self-destructed like Morton Downy Junior."

Randazza included a signed autograph over a picture of Gary Coleman. Which, in our book, is pretty much the definition of awesomeness.

Really its unbelievable, too much expensive.

John Buchanan - an experienced Canadian Criminal lawyer, practicing in criminal law for over 25 years, We based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

First off, John Buchanan (who commented before me) sounds like a total asshat and needs to learn how to type when spamming people's sites. I also heard that if you're leaving comments on blogs, trying to get business, you're probably really desperate and not good at what you do anyway (and are probably on drugs). I'm not saying this about John Buchanan who is based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, but I am saying this is what I heard about people who use the tactics he's using. Who knows, maybe French is his first language and he's not good at stringing English words together, but does his comment even make sense? He might as well have written about his affection for goats.

Second, thanks for the write up! I always like to see what people think of my site and where it gets written about. This is cool, but I have a couple comments. One, you misidentified the photo. I don't know who this Gary Coleman guy is, but he's no Marc J. Randazza! Two, you left out my middle initial. I know a simple "L" doesn't seem that important, but without it I am too easily mistaken for one of the many Christopher Jorgensens out there. If you had included the "L" I would have found this post before now and my comments could have been first, and not that John Buchanan guy.

Well, I am back at it. Thanks again. Oh, you would happen to have Kim Jung Il's address would you?

I do not see why everyone is coming down so hard on Glenn Beck. I am no fan of country music myself but that doesn't mean I cannot appreciate his talent. Randazza Society? If I could be bothered starting a Glenn Beck fan club I would have twice as many members within a week. Isaac Eiland-Hall's juvenile behaviour should not be encouraged and he needs to understand that the internet has rules and these rules are there for the benefit and safety of all users.

I"m just proud to be remotely affiliated with Randazza, being a fellow (albiet older) gator, and that pride is cemented herewith due to the erudite ramblings of one Christopher L. Something or another, who made that spiffy comment about that loser Canadian dude--or rather, the SEEMINGLY loser-esque fellow who made sense none.

To be quite Canadian about it.

GO GATORS! Kick Beckass!

I laughed out loud when I read Randazza's filings as the proceedings occurred.

It was great to see someone (Randazza) "rip" Glen Beck "a new one" even bigger than the one Glen (Feb 2009 'US has best health care in the world') Beck received from his voluntary US Health Care experience ('US Health Care is terrible') in Jan 2008.

GB is such a hypocritical crybaby.

It's wonderful to see just about anyone 'spank' GB with such panache.

Vey nice job did by the lawyers.

More and more people began to collect air jordan shoes.
